Front derailler barrel adjuster - help please

Some quick advice please.

I need to put a new cable on the front mech. It's ultegra triple.

When I connect the cable to the mech should the barrel adjuster on the down tube be fully screwed in, fully screwed out, or somewhere in the middle. As I understand it it's the down tube barrel adjuster that is used to adjust the derailler position when on the middle ring to allow proper trimming whilst riding. I'm guessing it needs to be fully screwed in, but if someone could confirm......

Any other top tips for this job?

Fully screwed in, then back it off one half turn.
Unlikely you will get the cable too tight first go, but that one half turn enables you to trim it out if you do.
