Hello all,
Peppy from Petersfield here. Just started riding again after a 15 or so year gap. I got an old road bike(8 year old Carrera Valor) of a friend at work five or six weeks ago and started going out at lunch times 'around the block' as it were, which is a little over six miles. I've gotten a little porky and unfit since I was younger but the time for that six mile run has come down from nearly 40 minutes to a wisker over 20.
Two weeks ago I picked up a shiny new Cube Attempt thanks to the company's 'bike4work' scheme, which is a much nicer ride and a little faster. Just over a week ago I started riding to work, just under 9 miles is taking me between 30 and 35 mintes depending on the wind and traffic.
Some where along the line I had forgotten how much fun cycling is!
Other things about me; I'm a communications engineer by trade. Other interests revolve around cars, computer and photography.
