I was just thinking about things I'm looking forward to, during this bleak winter.

Cycling in daylight
Smell of a good BBQ with friends and good wine
Seeing kids about - don't know where those in our street hibernate too
Sitting outside the local (and being able to take the dog)
Clothes smelling fab after drying on the line
Getting the pool out and just kicking back with good music on

Longer days for clearing the snow off the car and driveway.

Oh, the early morning rides on the road bike - out the door by 4.00 am- world to myself..sheer bliss....


Taking off to the beach in the evening and staying there till it gets chilly.

Spending the really hot days in the cool in the woods.

Oh, it's going to be a great summer...

Possibly my first 300km audax
Weekend cycle camping rides
Continental cycle tour 2-3 weeks....Eurovelo 6 possibly
BBQs

It hasn't been that bleak. This weekend will be the first one this year that I'll not have done a 100km ride.

Winter's not that bad. There's plenty of decent gigs and restaurants worth attending.
