Application, classes, learning, permit, what are these strange concepts. Must be a NJ thing. Here in sphincter muscle central, TX, I can pick up a gun the same time I buy new pair of speedos. The only background check is a quick phone call and I'm good to go. I'm not planning to as the local orange brigade has already bought all the ammo in the state, own all the ranges, and are way to happy on pulling the trigger. This country is in some serious doo doo. The sphincter muscle has given people license to show their hatred and make them feel good about it. He's literally set us back at least 50 years. Maybe more. And with that attitude that legitimizes hatred becoming more prevalent, it also fosters greater amounts of violence. So, I'm going to submit my application for a permit to own a gun. I'm going to take classes to learn how to fire it properly, to take it apart and clean and maintain it. I am going to keep it locked up in a safe yet accessible place so that if things start to get hairy around here, I'll have something to provide me with a littel bit of protection. It may not save my life but I want to be sure that the other guy feels some pain. That's how screwed up I think things have gotten here.
