Inside track - teef has given the Windies a bung and has reliably informed me that the score will be 147-7 at 3pm with a pfeiffer for Jimmy.

Well Chanderpaul is on 42. Be good to get him out in the next session.

TEA
51st over: England 166-1 (Strauss 78, Trott 50) Sammy steams in for the final over before tea and Trott brings up his 50 with a trademark flick off his pads for one. And Strauss sees the over out. A session, other than the first four or five overs, of complete English domination.
Only another 384 to go then...

66th over: England 204-2 (Strauss 101, Pietersen 4) That's it! Andrew Strauss slaps a cut for four and yelps "YES!" even before the ball has reached the boundary.
Now. Wouldn't it be nice to see Pietersen settle down and then start hitting the ball into the St Johns Wood road tomorrow, in a continuation, modelled on his Sri Lanka innings recently completed..!

Ooh, just heard tickets for tomorrow are £10 cash at the North Gate, weather forecast improving...that's got to be worth a shout.

Does anybody know whether there's anywhere safe to lock up a bike for the day at, in, or near the ground?

Mate you'd be away from your bike from a long while...not sure I'd risk it.

Tempted to go along though...haven't been to a match yet!
