Yeah I thought it was a good performance from Massa, a bit like how Hakkinen retired in Spain on the last lap a few years ago - putting in a big effort, on a track others specialise in and then broke down. Just shows you the cars are too reliable thesedays for entertainment side. Don't know what was up with kimi and a really good break for Kovalainen, as it was standing I didn't think he'd win a race this year as thought the chances of the other 3 having a bad day were fairly remote, probably a massive boost for him.

I still think Kovolainen is going to have to do a lot more to justify his place. He did well this week but he should be much closer to his team mate and not battling with Renaults and BMWs as he is most of the time.

Personally I'd like to see Kubrica or Weber in a competitive car.

He is but I thought they'd just re-signed him? I agree, if I were Ron, based on this season I'd not rehire Kovalainen but he is young and Ron is a patient man (I'd hire him based on his time at Renault though, anyone who can suffer a bully like Fisichella can't be an awful driver). Whether Kovalainen is a Fisi or a Hakkinen time will tell.

Well, you missed a corker, Girofan. I've never really understood how folk who are into bicycle racing can call motorsport boring, but hey, each to their own.;)
As for Kovalainen, I agree. I'm not a fan of Hamilton, but he's completely outclassed young Heikki so far this year. Until recently, I was under the impression that Kubica was already in a competitive car, but for some reason BMW seem to have fallen off the back.
