After my holiday, I'm going to start saving for a new road bike, ready for next spring, maybe earlier. I've got a lovely steel, Dura Ace 9 speed equiped roadie at the moment and a Dolan CX bike.
I have a £1200 budget, find me a roadie, may stretch to £1300 at an extreme push!!

What you all recommend??

Focus something, Ribble Sportive, Planet-X something, Boardman something are the usual recommendations at that price range. All are full carbon and offer decent spec for the money.

I went with the Ribble. For your budget you could have the Ribble with Centaur and some cash left over to save for some nice wheels in the future.

Alternatively stretch your budget by a few more hundred () and get a PX with full DA.

2010 bikes will be out well before then, so kinda difficult for us to spend your money until we see new prices etc...

You could get a middle ranking top-end carbon frame for that money and then transfer your existing kit to it. Then upgrade the kit when that wears out.

When you say to find you a roadie....

Male or female, and if you mean Miss Pendleton...

a. She is already taken
b. There would be a queue if she wasn't
c. I think her maintenance is above your £1200 budget
