Wouldn't it be more local for you to do raceacrossaustralia?
Walker's being transported to Oz; apparently he stole a loaf of bread of the tolpuddle martyrs
Get training then and may I suggest time trials. The two Brits I know who have done it are/were both very, very good timetriallists and the person I know who is doing next year is also a seriously good time triallist.
As far as I know that's mainly mountain bikes
I was just gunna turn up on the day and see howI get on
That's how I plan to do Mont Ventoux. And the Marmotte.
I'd love to do that too....albeit the more scenic route covering many states.
Can you get an entry on the line?
If I was you I would just turn up anyway and the organiser will feel obliged to give you a start. You've nothing to lose!
give it a go, but if they don't then you've just wasted £800 on a flight
