I like escallonia. Nice tight growth, nice spring flowers, very hardy and easy to take cutting of. got mine hedge for free:smile:

We planted a yew hedge on one side of our front garden about 10 years ago, it's grown nearly 1.5m since. :becool: The dog wood along the front has grown considerably more than that, as has the holly / pyracantha along the other side, but the yew is still the one that I'd choose. :thumbsup:
