Hi I need some help. I have also posted this in know how but hoped some of you lot might have an idea.

I have just replaced my sram grip shifters with sram trx shifters on my commuter. It has a seven speed rear cog and sram rear mech. So why can't index it properly? It seems that the shifters don't have enough range, i can get 2 to seven or 1 to six. The limit screws are fine.

    Does anyone have any suggestions

    Cheers Steve

Sounds a little odd. Are you certain the limit stop screws are adjusted OK?

The shifters match the number of gears on the cassette?

Does the derailleur match the cassette?

Other than that I don't know.

the shifters are 7 spd - 7 spd cog. I have only changed the shifters, that's why I am stumped. Limit screws are fine.

Have you checked the cable is tensioned in the lowest gear, i.e. it is tight enough.
