Ive known about this case for quite a while and have always been boggled at how it has played out. As a former software engineer and coder I would automatically assume that a sudden spike is massive fraud amongst hundreds of sub post offices on the introduction of a new software system was not unconnected to the new software.
The post office was both victim and prosecutor in the case.
All around total disgrace for which no individual will ever have to take responsibility.

It's a total disgrace - you'd think someone would go - 'hmmm they all can't be on the fiddle' ?

The Met are looking at the evidence given in Court by Fujitsu, see if any offences have taken place. People lost their livelihoods, their liberty, and even their lives because of this, and this repsonsible must be made accountable.

Time perhaps also to review the Post Office's status as a prosecution agency.

I think someone did, and someone bigger went " we can't admit that our system is wrong, better carry on ruining them all"

absolute disgrace heat compensation alone cant repair. Some people died without knowing the full truth and having to live with being branded a fraudster when they knew they were innocent.

Utter disgrace

Shouldn't even be under question - it was clearly incapable of exercising this with integrity. A truly appalling situation, for which the controlling minds/turners of blind eyes will surely replace their former employees in jail.

Judges have quashed the convictions of 39 former postmasters after the UK's most widespread miscarriage of justice.
They were convicted of stealing money, with some imprisoned, after the Post Office installed the Horizon computer system in branches.
The system was flawed. Some of those whose lives were ruined now want those responsible to be "punished".
The judgement was met with cheers from ex-postmasters outside court and was hailed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
He called the original convictions an "appalling injustice".

Absolutely disgusting. Can you imagine how it must have felt to be accused, let alone then prosecuted and jailed for something you hadn't done.
Lives ruined. No doubt lessons will be learned🙄
