I'm not up to date on all the machinations and power plays that go on within the Labour Party.
But I wish they'd stop squabbling like this.

There may or may not have been some genuine anti semitism within the Labour Party I don't know for sure, but there are racists and other 'ists' everywhere it would seem, in all of us even.

But this seems to be a massive storm in a teacup,

Long Bailey retweeted an article, which contained a reference to the kneeling on the neck til death ensues, as allegedly being a trick learnt by American cops, from Mossad.

I don't know if this figures as a 'conspiracy theory' or not.

It's more an allegation as to training received which either is, or isn't true.

But it seems to come up over and over this confusion as to what constitutes being 'anti-semitic'

I don't see how criticising the Israeli State for its activities, which as far as I know comprise, land grabbing and using extreme violence, of a fully modern armed state to oppress the Palestinian Arabs of they resist, who then retaliate with homespun explosives and stone throwing.

To object to the violent, and oppressive, activities of the Israeli State is not 'anti semitic' its just calling for an observation of human rights, and the cessation of annexing other peoples lands.

Isn't it, or have I missed something??

I object to those things that the Israeli State is doing to the people of Palestine.

I don't think that makes me anti semitic does it?

In fact I'm not even sure what 'prejudicial notions' about Jewish people, I would be supposed to hold, if I were to become antisemitic.

The people I know who are Jewish are all opposed to what the Israeli State is doing to the Palestinians.

Are they anti-semitic too??
This ^^^^^^^

I don’t object to the abusive actions of the Israeli state because they’re Jewish, I object because they are abusive.

Here's a primer... :okay:

Obviously an Aubergine
I am certainly not recommending it, but, if you're a sucker for punishment, you could also read the Daily Mail for the facts an equally fair and unbiased view of the Labour party from the far right.

Do they get paid per clicks??

In which case thanks  but no thanks

You could copy and paste the relevant article and dm it to me..

And I'll then put it in my 'to read' file named

'When hell Freezes Over'... :okay:

Sorry, had second thoughts and deleted my post before your response. I didn't want to advertise the DM, just to point out that Jacobin is just as fair and unbiased  as that newspaper.

The Guardian has another viewpoint, more realistic imo, but these things are all opinions, not facts. There is no one primer.

But has a slightly smaller, and possibly better edumacated audience??

There's some big ol wurds, and complex ideas in there.

In some instances, you even have to keep more than one thought in your head at a time..

A copy of the DM turned up here the other day - SOMEHOW???

A friend very appropriately used it to line some of the chooks nest boxes.

Not before I had snuck a peek tho..

OMG  this must, at least partly, be why this country is in the state it is in..

Of course they are
Just look at Sanders or Chomsky - fairly regularly called antisemitic
Nowadays almost anything mildly critical of Israel can be called antisemitic

I figured as much, a bit like saying that if you criticise the Saudi Governments activities, you are immediately therefore 'Anti Sunni Muslim' ??

I think, as these things go, Sunnis or Shias are generally a shade less sensitive than Jews, to a perceived slur.
Which may very sound antisemitic to some:whistle:

But yes, in general we tend to take criticism very personally

Edumacation and big ol wurds are overrated!

Just look at Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees-Mogg et al.

(A bit of gratuitous Latin in there for good measure)

It's depressing isn't it??

How easily expensively educated, gets confused with well educated.

Night night..

Overwhelmingly tired of it all...

She withdrew the allegation and apologized. It seems like somebody was just waiting for an excuse to get rid of her.
And why wouldn't they? Wrong-Daily was only given her shadow cabinet post to shut the far left up, and she should have had the good sense to realise this and keep her nose clean. The fact that Comrade Corbyn was prepared to overlook all sorts of unsavoury stuff so long as someone was singing from the approved ideological hymn sheet, is what caused the Labour Party to become perceived as so toxic and unelectable. Starmer had to be seen to be actively stamping on this sort of thing, and Wrong-Daily should have been attuned to the fact she can't just go round opening her mouth without engaging her brain first. It will be interesting to see if this sacking is a one-off or if Starmer comes down on a few of the other idiots who are doing their best to keep Labour out of power for a whole generation.

It is an conspiracy theory but there is also something else about it, it is not relevant. The officer Chuavin is being charged with murder, it's ridiculous it took so many protest but that's where it stands now.
How the us police learned that move is not so important, as if correctly used it does what it need to do restrain a suspect so he/she/it can be arrested. And thinking that low-level cops like Chauvin was need training from Isreal is laughable.

Do jews have any less right on Palestina than arab Palestines have? No answered the world community after the second world war and that lead the the creation of Isreal, whether you agree or not it is important to notice that both jews as paletines have ties to palestina, it is not just a random land grap as some usually pro-palestina poeple claim.
So israel has created an stable, technologically very advanced country from themselves in the same time that Palestina primarly specialised in oppression, murder and attacking isreal from money they got to ''develop'' their country and/or help their people. While at the same time creating food shortages to claim Isreal oppresses them so much.. yeah i think the short summary is that your missing something..
