Stupid question I know but where do I attach the pedal wrench? The spindle if that's what it's called (the bit between the pedal platform and the crank) just turns around and I cant see where else to fix the wrench. I've looked at the parktools website but it doesn't show enough detail

Yep, there's an allen hey hexagon in the end of the spindle.

Many newer pedals need the hex key - 8mm from memory.

Yes they use an 8mm allen key. Look at the end of the spindle.

The instructions that come in the box should tell you. Although I've not looked at the instructions personally. Mine were put on for me.

yep, not good at instructions and don't have anyway. Problem seems to be the wrench (15mm) is too wide to grip the narrow bit of the spindle but too narrow to fit the bit thats hard up aganist the crank. have got pedal off but spindle still in place!

yay!! got them off with allen key!!! no skin left on three knuckles but what the heck

always, and i mean always, take pedals off with an allen key only when the chain is on the outer chainring. that avoids gouging your palm on the thing when the pedal comes loose after a sharp jolt.

it hurts…
