Yes, I agree. I considered registering to add my own comment and then thought the better of it. It is the Daily Mail. It would be like encouraging redcogs to vote Tory at the next election.

To be fair the first 2 were supportive and the other 2 summed up why drivers dislike cyclists again. RLJ, pavement riding, pedestrian zone riding etc. Too many cyclists just give car drivers too much ammuniton and an easy target.

I suspect that the vast majority of cyclists do all those things and they aren't CC members.

He's on this board and has commented on a few of my vids (as well as using some of them on his site too). If it makes more people aware of what we face then it can only be good IMO.

i don't think he's doing himself any favors.

whilst loads of his clips are good examples of bad driving the two above simply show how impatient "he" is.

and he could made the effort to add some comments/explanations to these clips and not edit the life out of them so you just have 9 seconds to figure out whats going on.

as i've said in the past, if your going to do this sort of thing you have to cover your arse and also let some of the really minor and petty ones go

Gosh, but your harsh. In the fist he's a tiny bit impatient but acting roughly within the law, whereas the taxi driver is also impatient and breaking the law. In the second he's a tiny bit impatient but the moped rider is acting like an ass.

I like to see real road situations in these videos; accidents happen very often because of two people making mistakes (or one person makes a mistake and the other was just a little impatient), why do you only want to see those where the error is entirely clearcut?

IMHO we're far too hard on technical and minor errors made my cyclists posting their vids. In so doing, we often completely fail to notice the far bigger errors made by motorists in that footage.

I've spoken to the chap over youtube and in some of his videos he can be a bit too aggressive IMO and sometimes puts himself in harms way, but in general he's a nice enough guy who is just a bit fed up who isn't doing things 'for the camera'.

Now....all I need to do is write a quick press release and get my mug in the Daily Mail :biggrin:

My gosh, those comments...

I see the picture now. The Lycra clad red arrow brigade are furiously twittering their cronies to get on this site and dump a blizzard of red arrows on the anti bike comments. While cutting up cars and jumping red lights of course. And completely oblivious to the number one rule of the road - Biggest first !

Of course while he is busy filming motorists, Mr Spragg is not inattentive to the road, so a menace to other road users, like many cyclists.

The cyclist who indignantly said he pays road tax on his car, but keeps in the garage and rides his bike
to work just shot himself in the foot. Because on that argument I could have two cars but only tax one of them on the basis that I could only drive one car at a time.

A s cyclists keep telling us how vulnerable they are then why are they all not a damn site more careful in their riding.

If I will fit the camera to my car I'll have a everyday show of cyclists braking the rools. We have a cycle pass near the road and 50% of cyclists are not using it. Probably just to show off how clever they are.
If they really want to be a part of the traffic they have to pass at list a theory test!!!

I can almost smell the sliced white bread smeared with thick margarine, the crumbs being wiped off a an irate spittle drenched copy of the Daily Wail on the breakfast table of 'Angry, of Cirencester'.

Good grief, if ever there was an argument for needing to pass an intelligence test before being allowed on to the roads, it was the typical reader of the Daily Hate Mail.

because you need to build a strong case against bad "behaviour". posting petty stuff just dilutes your arguments and gives the other side ammunition

don't get me wrong, i agree with the idea behind these types of videos, but if your gonna do it you need to be whiter than white !!!!
