I went to enter the data from today's ride into the My Cycling log. I had the cycle computer in one hand and was using my mouse in the other, and every time I moved the mouse the computer started! It took me a while to work out the mouse/cycle computer interference. The computer is a Raleigh wireless jobbie, and the mouse is a wireless optical that I use with my laptop. I can only guess that the stream of pulses from the mouse to the mouse dongle thingie was being interpreted by the computer as input from the wheel magnet. That solves why my maximum speed has read 58mph for a few days!
