They have changed the way hotmail looks, which I don't care about either way, but now I find that when I want to delete and email it simply doesn't happen. Is there a way of going back to the version that worked or getting the current one to work?

Do you have Outlook Express?

I don't think so as it meant to be quicker on all machines they have removed the bit to cut back to the old version. - you should be able to delete from the inbox - then go to the deleted items and click empty and as if by magic they will be gone forever.
