MTB Instructor Course

Appreciate that this is not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm considering doing a MTB instructor course and wondered if anyone has done or heard of one that was good?

I would ideally like to be able to take adults and kids over any type of terrain at any height in the UK and maybe Europe.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I did the Trail Leaders course and it was excellent. That limits you to leading rides to a max of 600 meters and also limit sthe terrain you can lead a group over. The Technical Leaders course allows you to lead groups over far more technical terrain and above 600 meters. Along with requisite riding ability, the former requires average map and compass skills, the latter required extremely good skills.

Which company did you do the trail leaders through? Did they offer the Technical leader as well?

I did mine through the CTC. They offered both courses. Check the eligibility criteria for the Tech course though as when I tried it I found I hadn't kept a good enough log book of my previous rides (amongst other things)
