Recently got into Serious MTBing, Do regular XC in the week nights and ride regular on sunday with a club, and go to dalby when i can. The other lads at the club all have clip in pedals, i dont!!! Are they worth it? And where do i start? Which Pedals? Which shoes?

Regards

Hell yeah they are worth it. It'll change the way you ride.

Just do a search on here for SPD and you'll see all the opinons, recommendations, reviews, etc.

Have a look here, a good selection of the shimano SPD, the XTRs are very good, and bullet proof, howevr some of the deals on the XT and other cheaper ones (M540) are very good:

Obviously you then need some shoes, I have just ordered a pair of these, hopefully get them today, as my current summer shoes are about to die, never tried these ones before but the sale price in this link was very impressive:

Clipless pedals really do help, everyone riding XC races uses them, many downhill riders are starting to use them, and for normal off road riding they are perfect, and the Shimano SPDs are very easy to get out of if needed, after a while you will find it's automatic, just have the release set quite low to start with.
