I think I have a ghost in my room.

For some reason my alarm didn't go off until 7.30 this morning. It is always set for 6am during the week, giving me time to have a coffee, wake up and have some breakfast.

Cue much panicking and running around like a headless chicken. Managed to get to work just 15 mins late.

But who changed my alarm????

You in your sleep?

I have done that before

S'what I was thinking. Subconsciously, you don't want to be on time. Or maybe, you secretly hate coffee, despise breakfast and have a repressed desire to run around like a headless chicken.

[Sorry, time's up - that'll be £150 please. Pay on your way out. Next please!]

we had a very spooky experience a few nights ago, the phone on the bedside table just went in to handsfree mode and we were woken by the dial tone

We have an invisible Gorilla at our house....

Every Saturday night the bastard appears, drinks all my whisky, sh1ts in my mouth, beats me up and leaves a kitchen table full of empty take away wrappers.....

Only possible explanation for Sunday mornings.

Maybe your wife did it?

any kids in the house?

No kids and not married. I was all on my own last night.

I did also wake up covered in glue and feathers, so perhaps you're onto something. The cheque's in the post

I think that is what it must be. I actually have 2 alarms on my clock, the radio goes off at 6am then a buzzer at 6.20.
Both were changed to 7.30 and 7.45 exactly.

Perhaps I was thinking of the CC ride tomorrow morning and this might be the times I set my alarms for, although I hadn't thought that far ahead yet.

I wonder if this is also why sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and find the duvet has turned sideways, leaving my feet sticking out the bottom.
What have I been up to?

There's a ghost in my house
The ghost of your memories
The ghost of the love you took from me

Where our love used to be
Only shadows from the past I see
Time can't seem to erase
The vision of your smiling face
Though you found someone new
I can't get over you
There's a ghost in my house
I can't hide (ghost in my house)
From the ghost of your love that's inside (ghost in my house)
It keeps on haunting me (ghost in my house)
Just keeps on remiding me (ghost in my house)

In my mind I know you're gone
But my heart keeps holding on
To the memories of those happy times
To the love that once was mine
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
There's a ghost in my house
I can't hide (ghost in my house)
From the ghost of your love that's inside (ghost in my house)
You're still such a part of me (ghost in my house)
Still so deep in the heart of me (ghost in my house)

I just keep hearing your footsteps on the stairs
When I know there's no-one there
Every day I love you more
So much more than the day before

Sittin' in my easy chair
I feel your fingers running through my hair
Lookin' down in my coffee cup
I think I see your face lookin' up
All alone in my gloom
You voice echoes through the room
There's a ghost in my house
And I can't hide (ghost in my house)
From the ghost of your love that's inside (ghost in my house)
It keeps on haunting me (ghost in my house)
Just keeps on reminding me (ghost in my house)

I just keep hearing your footsteps on the stairs
When I know there's no-one there
You're still such a part of me (ghost in my house)
Still so deep in the heart of me (ghost in my house)
I can't hide (ghost in my house)
From the ghost of your love that's inside (ghost in my house)
