I have had this 3 years, and mainly used for commuting or off road in the Scottish highlands, and for the price range £450-500 I don't think you can buy a better XTC Bike for the spec.

Have had to replace the wheels (as they were stolen!), the giant brakes lasted 3 years, before I upgraded to deore m535, but apart from that, no major upgrades.
 
John, your seat-post is in back to front which is probably why you can't get your seat level.

I actually prefer riding this way, I am strange like that LOL..

What I mean is that the saddle position is where I want it, and the bolts underneath look like they will fall to pieces if I change the saddle again, so just left it as it is.

But mickle, very eagled eyed of you, as your the first person to spot it, not even the LBS spotted this when left in for services.
