Nearly taken out by a wheelie bin...

Near miss last night on the way home.

Heading homeward when I heard a rumbling noise from one of the steep side streets. Anchored on just as a wind propelled wheelie bin shot past me into the main road. I missed it by maybe 6 inches, the oncoming car wasnt so lucky, but didn't look to be damaged.

Looking back it was perhaps a tad breezy

I nearly crashed into one of those big wheely bins shops have a 2/3 years back. It was in some very bad storms, and it was lashing it down, battling into a head wind, head down, looked up and this thing was right in the middle of the road, just swerved round it at the last minute. That would have been embarrasing.

Morale of the story, look where you are going, even if the weather is horrendous

When I went out yesterday bins were flying although over the place, which was actually a good thing it let drivers see how windy it was and as a result perhaps, I only got one close'ish pass when I was out.
