When he's mentioned in a conversation, Fabio Capello always appears to me as Raf Vallone in his role in The Italian Job. If I try to get an image of Capello in my head, it is barged out of the way by Vallone saying "Nice car... Pretty car..."
I'd accuse myself of national stereotyping, but my links with Italy go back a long way. Is anyone else beset by these 'celebrity alternatives' who appear in place of the real one in the mind's eye?
Should I see a doctor? Or should I just see Capello?
