New bike time  this is going to be my commuter and is replacing the Genesis Day 01 Alfine which I had to return.
I was going to get a different wheel set with this, but they where out of stock and they couldn't get them in for a while. So I will take the stock ones and see how they run, if they aren't to my liking i'll just upgrade and sell these on.

Nice, maybe I've missed the thread but why did you return the day one? (sorry for this little hijack I'm considering an alfine for my next CTW, a surly cross check)

Issues with the brakes which Evans could not fix after 7 attempts.
Tektro Lyra brakes + Shimano rotors = a big no no!

I have an earlier version, had it for almost 4 years now, lovely piece of kit.

That is one stunning looking fixie. I love the colour scheme, very slight hint of retro about it but on lovely modern frame and components. I'm dead jelly as my daughter would say!

Sorry to be picky Gaz, but shouldn't the black plastic mudguard holder on the rear mudguard stay, be on the front mudguard stay's   From a safety point of view.

Really nice bike though

I'm liking the new paint scheme very much indeed.

The frame is exactly the same as on my Wills Wheels Fixed - just RED !!!

PS Formula hubs are great - cartridge bearings - cheap to replace if needed and run very smooth. The stock rims are fine - bit on the heavy side but they are deep section - I went Formula hubs on CXP33's

Tada....

The secure clips are fitted to make it easier to remove the back wheel. With track ends and mudguards you either use secure clips or fit the mudguards with a wide clearance to give you clearance to take the wheel out.

It is nice, they updated it for their 150 year range.

Do you have a problem with toe overlap and the mudguards. I currently have 172.5mm cranks and get a small amount of toe overlap, i'd rather not have it so might drop the cranks down to a smaller size.
