Please help, which bike - CB hybrid comp or Giant escape 1

Hi all, I would greatly appreciate opinions on which bike to choose. I am being offered the comp from the insurance company but as the escape can be bought for the same price, I could possibly ask for that instead.

I have the Boardman and am very happy with it.

The boardman looks like a faster bike, and from reports disc brakes are far superior, I would be drawn to it but have you sat on either bike, took them for test rides ?

I have a Boardman TC and CX, they are very good bikes... so I'd say go for the Boardman.

Cheers guys I think I'll be going for the boardman then, no I haven't tryed them as I dont know of any dealer where i could try the escape 1 where I live, so nothing to compare to. I've been hearing nothing but good things about the boardman.
