poor disc brakes

hi

the disc brakes on my specialized mtb have never been great and now after a years hard riding are poor

i bought a bleeding kit with no improvement

the discs and pads dont look worn but is there any information on the net about wear tolerances?

What make are the brakes? Some brakes are just poor to begin with.

When was the last time you bought new pads?

Your pads may be contaminated with oil, grease on their surface. Here's link to some maintenance advice...

Unless your years riding has been 2 miles a week in the dry, I would suggest new pads and clean the disc. We are talking normal wear and tear/servicing really.
