Really enjoying riding my fixed

That's it really.

16-mile a day commute, some small hills, lots of junctions and scrappy traffic, one nice park.

Just really nice on the fixed. I'll analyse why some other day, at the moment I'm just enjoying it.

Don't analyse just go with it... the zen of fixed!

Is that 16 mile each way or round trip? I'm guessing round trip.

I can go out for a pootle, loose track of time and will have done 25 or 30km by the time I get home. There's just something about fixed...

It's lovely, isn't it? I've been using the fixed a bit more this week, it's just so smooth and relaxing and zen-like. I like the extra speed uphill, though I do miss the super top-end speed of the bent downhill and into wind.

Shush you cads, I'm having a gearie fortnight (tri bike, practicing going fast) and jonesing for that silky fixie hip action!

It's not thinking all the time about what gear you should be in!

I was thinking that on the way home last night up the Leaves Green hilllet. It's always an irritating one for gear changes on the 'bent.
