Hi all.

Just bought a rack for my Kaffenback. Problem is the sliding horizontal supports don't go anywhere near the rack mounts on the seatstay (one central seatstay at that point before it splits). I would need to bend them over 45deg to get them to fit. Coincidentally however they do line up exactly with the seat tube clamp though so i've attached it to there for the time being. Seems pretty solid though there is a bit of a rattle.

Is there any problem inherant in leaving it like this? Or should I just bend them as best I can with a vice/ lumphammer?

Anyone who's fitted a rack to a Kaff or a Pompino before can help out?

Cheers

My wife had a small frame Dawes where the brakes prevented the Tubus rack fitting to the braze ons.

I replaced the seatpost clamp with one rom M-Part (seen here on Wiggle)

Then fitted the rack stays to the clamp. Worked fine for several years until we upgradrd the bike.

Looks like a good idea, unfortunately I have a rear canti brake hanger/ seatpost clamp already as there is no braze on hanger on the kaff. I might see if I can fit a hanger some other way then use the part you suggest. Cheers.
