recommend me a mud tyre

I'm looking for some mud tyres for winter MTBing.



The tyres will not be used on road. I like the conti mud kings but the price is way too high.



£15 per tyre would be nice!

I don't know of a budget mud tyre, but the Bonty Jones Mud X is the best mud tyre I've ever used to date. They don't come in large sizes, to cut through the mud, but they are very good (but cut up on flint and are a bit skittish on rock)

I run continental Slash as a winter rear tyre. Nice ramped/ almost paddle tread for traction, but not brilliant for rooty sections or wet rocks.... they are at home on loose or muddy trails though, hardwearing and in budget. http://www.cyclingbargains.com/product_info.php/continental-slash-p-378
