The ferry, which ran aground near Blackpool has been cut up and taken away. Some fascinating pictures here, note the complete lack of rubbish or pollution as the beach remains spotless in every picture.

I was surprisd by how small the propellors and rudders seemed for a ship that size ... but I know nothing about marine engineering.

Blimey, there must have been some clean-up before the ferry went aground then! The last time I went to Blackpool (many years ago, admittedly), the seawater there was a smelly brown sludge. I have a feeling I know what was in it... !

Apparently that style of "Irish" dancing was promoted by nuns as a suitably chaste form of dancing. I can't wait to see what happens when somebody discovers book two "The Arm Movements".
