Route to Guildford from SE London for the Tour of Britain.

Hi guys, I'm thinking of riding to Guildford to catch the finale of this years TOB, I'm basically starting from Sydenham. I'm pondering of going through Croydon,Epsom then Surrey.looking to avoid as many nasty car type thingys but seeing as I'm a regular commuter to the mean streets of the big smoke, if need be so be it. Any suggestions of routes or the best planning websites will be welcome.

PS I know I can google a route, a website etc but a personal recommendation would be a great starting point.

Here. Not the route I'd take but this keeps you off the A roads a bit although there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid the A25 on the run in to Guildford.

FWIW, I would go A212, A232, A24, A246, A25. It's route one but it gets you there.
