Been watching this stuff this week, great program. There was this amazing story of a South American man who managed to get to the States, get honours in Uni and then ended up as an Astronaut. Add into that he designed a basic plasma rocket while at uni.. its now being finished off for a test run on the International Space Station next year...

:becool:

I think this guy is going to radicalise space travel. Cheaper, much faster, much more efficient. Chemical propulsion by contrast costs millions more to do for the weight of fuel, to get to Mars it would be 7 months minimum if we had the fue capacity (some say we dont)... the Argon Plasma is estimated to get us there in 39 days and the rocket propulsion system is about the size of a Landrover 1 series.  :becool:
