Barnet,
Not the square taper axle but octalink. I can't get the cranks off. The bolts come out easy enough but the cranks refuse to move. Is there a puller to get them off? I have tried a piece of wood and a hammer but to no avail. Ideas please.

You need a Park Tool CCP-44 for removal of Octalink & ISIS type cranks - this is NOT the same as the one for a standard square taper type crank - this is wider.

They are self-extracting. They should have an external cap with a hole through which the 8mm? allen key is inserted. As the bolt comes out it pushes against the cap pulling the crank off the bb.
