A friend is considering getting a Giant Escape M8. His commute is sufficiently rough that he'd like to swap the cromo fork for something a little more comfortable. Neither of us know anything about Shimano Nexus Roller Brakes. How do they mount to the fork? The photo seems to suggest there is a cable stop part way down the fork. If so how would you accommodate this brake on a different fork (perhaps even short travel suspension)?
Any suggestions, or other experiences related to this bike and Nexus gears/brakes much appreciated.
