Can anyone recommend some socks that are:
-extremely warm, and
-thin enough to not cause issues in the shoes

Do such things exist? I'm currently wearing a thin pair of socks with a thicker pair of walking style socks over the top. My toes still get a bit cold, but I can't fit thicker socks into my shoes.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I've bought a pair of Endura's BaaBaa socks - they're much better than the cheap Aldi ones but were £1 more. Nice and toasty.

Seal skins thin socks.

Warm, supposedly waterproof and thin.

Also, the Aldi winter cycling socks are warm too. (DCLane-do you have the winter aldi ones?)

I have both types.

chamois creme on your feet before putting socks on also helps. i know not why.

Cyclesurgery are claiming 40% off sealskinz socks today only - whether they have stock remains to be seen...

Thanks all. I think I'll check out those defeet woolie boolies.

@HLaB, I do have overshoes, and they work well, but I prefer socks.

I don't think mine were all that stetchable (because of the membrane I think), would think the be too loose, but I've had mine 4or5 years and cant say for certain.

I've had mine a month. They aren't stretchable.
