Which do you feel is the better brand / bike for commuting and touring on road?

Does anybody own or use 1 of these and which maufacturer do you feel is better?

comments on these bikes please or a suitable / better equivalent for £300 - £450

I'm a Specialized man. Giant are ok, but Spesh are better.

Cheers - thats reassuring - 2 lbs both recommended the Globe Vienna 3, I was about to buy it then another suggested the Giants

I've had my globe sport for 2 years nearly & can't really fault it.
I now have 3 spesh bikes, so my opinion may be a little biased

Dont Giant make most of Specialized lower end bike frames?
Giant is the better brand, i have a Giant SCR4 and its a good bike. Giant is good.

I have recently bought the the giant m2 and cant fault it, does what it says on the tin.

I've got a CRS3 City and love it. Never had a Spesh, so cant compare.

I'd say take each out for a test ride - go with the one that feels better (or if nothing much in it - which ever you prefer the look of). Both brands are OK - get which ever you'll ride and enjoy more.

okay - now we're getting somewhere

it does appear to be horses for courses - As both seem to be fairly good and none have received negative comments I will take your advice and ride both, then choose

The crs3 city - would you be happy to do a couple of week leisure tour on it with a load? Approx 60 miles a day
