I'm doing a 120-mile ride with my daughter tomorrow for some charity or another.
So... I thought I'd fettle the bikes and buy all the Malt Loaf and Fig Rolls we'll need.
All done... Big sigh of relief...
Then a quick test on my bike and on the way home the front wheel starts to go 'shnrrrgle shnrrrgle...'
The wheel bearing is at the first stage of FUBAR... How dare it!
Well, I suppose it's better than finding out halfway through the ride. Bizarre though; it seemed fine a day ago.
Upshot: My son won't get very far on his road bike this weekend. It has no front wheel...
