Just been for a leak, as you do, to find that our urinals have been converted to waterless by blocking the flush hole and putting something in the drain called whiffaway.

In the short time it has been in (presumably installed overnight) the whiff has built up and not gone away.

Do you work in a company that has green issues high on its agenda?

I do. And even with the best of intentions, my employer addresses one issue by creating another.

We had plastic water cups next to the water machines. But, the green team decided to save plastic cups by issuing everyone a re-usable plastic bottle. Great so far.

Except when you refill your bottle the bottle spout touches the water tap. It only takes one person with a cold to pass on the virus to all concerned.

Then they replaced the water machines with ones that have a bigger area under the tap so the bottle spout is well away from the tap mouth.

Then, came problem number two. Bottles get dirty and need washing regularly, but most folk are lazy. People started complaining about having to bring washing up liquid to work and a scourer.

So the green team were forced to bring back water cups.

In fact, the answer is to not supply the water dispenser either! If people want some water to drink, they could fill their mugs from a tap ...

The work-shy scrotes haven't time to be guzzling expensive water, tell 'em to get back to their desks.

Just though you all might like to know the latest ...

The filter thing has blocked up and the bowl is now nearly full of coloured liquid. It started a reasonably clear yellow, but has morphed through cloudy yellow to looking a bit brown.

Yes, the maintenance people were told about it days ago, but all they have done is put a notice up telling people not to use it.

The answer is to not supply cups at all, then people would use their tea/cofee mugs instead!
And people who don't have a mug because they don't drink tea or coffee?
We aren't allowed glasses as they are a health and safety risk after a apprentice broke one in the machine shop and cut himself picking up the shards instead of going and getting the dustpan.
