Good website and good business making it, but i tend to avoid it as i get annoyed everytime i look at it. Theres always people taking a money saving idea too far too selfishly or exploiting a "glitch".

Stuff like the Tesco "double the difference" where they gave you back double what you were overcharged. Theyd go store to store buying as much of an item as possible knowing it was coming up without the 50% off on the till, then go and claim all their money back having been overcharged. Also, small companies and charities trying to give things away to specific groups of people and the greedy MSE vultures would see free and sign up for one even if they didnt need it so the free items are sold out.

I like the concept and the savings, but the greed really gets to me.

Heard it mentioned a lot of people in the MSE forums are complaining about him 'selling out'..... but c'mon, he's helped thousands of people save money, and now he's got himself & family set up for life. Good luck to the guy.

He's also donating £10M to charity, giving £1M to the Citizen's Advice Bureaux, will continue to be involved in running the site for the next 3 years and has set up agreements about how the site has to be run and most importantly retain it's impartiality. How can anyone possibly have a go at him?

A lot of the site's content comes from there, rather than from Martin Lewis and the rest of the paid staff, and there seems to be an attitude that it's not his site to sell. If they all jump ship and go somewhere else, MoneySupermarket won't see much return on its £87m.

Also, makes you wonder what CycleChat is worth? I wonder if Shaun's in secret discussions with Halfords over a takeover.

If forum sites generate enough clicks they attract advertisers... CC's no different. Nothing to stop anyone starting a site if they are prepared to put the hours and hours in making it work.... Good luck and thanks to Shaun whatever he ultimately decides to do... CC is fantastic!
