    Here and there
There must be something seriously lacking in Tory party members' mentality if they really believe this buffoon is a credible choice for leader.

It must be caused by in-breeding.

He makes even Corbyn look competent.

    The country is doomed!

I was always anti Corbyn but now I’m thinking he’d be better than the Torie Buffoons.

Yes I wonder about this as well - I'm no Tory, would never in this lifetime vote for them, but surely if elected he is going to be a disaster and make the Tories near unelectable for years?

    (unless Blair joins them)

edit - and to think many of us were horrified/amused by Berlusconi.
If Boris gets it, some Italians may sleep easier and think that it's not just them.

At the moment, the UK and the USA are in a metaphorical punch up to determine which is the most dumbass nation in the eyes of the rest of the world...

(Un)fortunately, we won't get close to Bolsonaro in Brazil or Duterte in the Philippines for cruelty and stupidity, and then there's Orban in Hungary and Salvini in Italy for fascism-lite too, and Poland's bizarre conspiracy-theory obsessed administration, and... there is no shortage of dumbassery in the world right now.

Or fortunately (for us) I assume you mean.

Yes I think you are right - some pretty awful stuff has long been tolerated in mainstream Italian politics.

Salvini amongst other things is also an apologist for Putin.

Johnson will call an election at some point as he knows Labour has no chance now and he'll probably do it soon while his stock is high i.e. no one has realized they've elected a fool. What a disaster.

We've allready seen Cameron and May go,I'd hold no fear of Johnson, I really do hope he calls it.

He might not have a choice. His majority is likely to be wiped out in by-elections, he's unlikely to keep the DUP onside, so a general election sooner rather than later and I wouldn't underestimate him, he's in the same vein as Trump and will have learned from his lead. Depressing.

Keep an eye out for the Con/BP alliance too, the secret handshakes will already be taking place behind closed doors.

He's a shite, the only thing I'd wish for him was to be the shortest serving PM.
