This maybe a very silly question , but we all start somewhere . Ij I have a mountain bike with 2.2 wide wheels can i replace the tires with something thinner more in line with a hybrid ? or do I need new rims I hoping to swap tires for winter summer

Yeh, you'll get away with it. Got 2.1 knobblies on now, on rims I had 1.2 slicks on.....

Not been to wiggle then. I've so far found Conti SportsContacts the best but next time it comes to replacing tyres I have a feeling I'm going to give Vittoria Rubino slicks a try.

EDIT: Oops just realised 2.2" wide wheels rather than 2.2" tyres, that's gonna drop your options a lot.
