TPT campsite HELP!!!

I assume a few of you guys have done the TPT - my question is to the campers among you... Where did you camp on the first night? I'm starting at Southport, finishing at Hornsea, and have sites booked for all the days apart from the 1st one... I'm looking to do about 50 miles into the trail on the first day, give of take 10 or so miles....

any reccommendations?

I might add that I was intending on staying at Holly bank campsite - but their website seems to not be working - I suspect they may have gone out of business?

Did it supported in 2006 and stayed in a motorhome at the Hollins Green site just over the Warburton Bridge, a short pedal off the route near Lymm.

Cheers Mock - It's all sorted now - turns out they just werent answering their phone - and I still don't think I found the website....
