Tubus Carry Pannier Rack?

Hi does anybody own one of these? On their website, it sstates best used with Front Panniers? Seems a bit daft to create a rear pannier rack that is best used with front panniers?

So can anybody tell me what the issues are if normal rear panniers eg Ortlieb Classis are used?

I use front panniers (Ortlieb) on my rear rack to give extra heel clearance and to avoid fouling my brake cantis. It's no great issue really unless you wish to load the kitchen sink too.

You could try rear panniers if a shop will let you trial fit them, as depending on your frame size, crank size, foot size etc. you may be ok.

There seem to be two issues. One is clearance, the other may well be strength. This is an ultralight rack rather than an expedition one. Stated max load 30 kg. i.e. rather lower than eg the Cargo.
