Vehicle Registration Number

I want to check that a reg' no' I have matches a specific vehicle. In the past I manageed to find a search facility on the DVLA website which would confirm this e.g. AB 123 CDE : White Ford Escort. That's all I need to know.

I can't seem to find it now, does anyone know of such a facility?

Have you got that reg no correct. I would say theres either an extra number or letter (if its a standard UK plate)

I'd be somewhat nervous about using that - I especially wouldn't try and use it for proof of an uninsured idiot on the road...

Not sure what his motives are, but he did just ask about make and model. Which it will provide you with.
I actually had to use this site last month due to problems my elderly father in law was having due to some confusion with his car. It came up trumps, and help us get sorted.

Maybe. But the tool is there to be used or abused. What someone does with the information is down to them.
You would be a tad foolish to tell plod that you had pretended the vehicle was yours to gain information.
