They know we have a weak situation with PM. May can’t do anything as she is a lame duck.

    It's all posturing.
I do like the way that the UK is flailing around looking for other nations to help with escort taskforces, the US secretary of state straight up said "lol no"

We should be ignoring what is after all a spectacular fail by the Iranian Republican Guard. It's an empty Swedish owned ship crewed by Indians and Eastern Europeans. The only British thing on it is the flag. No doubt the Iranians had the idea of show trials for the British hostages whilst the ranking general sold the oil on the black market. If we'd just laughed at them, that general would be strung up with piano wire by now.

Maybe you could post some links which show what the Iranians are dealing with?

    1953?
    Shah Pahlavi?
Unleashing Saddam and arming him to the teeth?
1988 shooting of a civilian airliner which, is widely accepted as intentional?

It's British flagged and so diplomatically, the UK has a duty to its welfare.

So, maybe the Iranians knew what they were doing.

Don't forget Alexander of Makedon. The Iranians certainly don't call him "the Great"

    .

Quite right. But as English is not their language they wouldn't refer to him as above.

In Persian he is referred to as Sikander-e-Azam. Which literally, translates as similar.
