We rode the last one, at least as run from Poole, on Saturday. It's an invitation event for those who have ridden a Wessex SR series. The formula consists of an overnight ferry crossing to Cherbourg, a convivial 200k around the peninsula using bars for controls and, on previous occasions, a hearty meal at a restaurant in Cherbourg before the overnight ferry back. This, final, event was truncated in that the ferry left at 18:30, so there was only time for a few drinks in a bar before embarkation. We made up for it on the ferry.
