When you say 'Birmingham to be precise', how precise are you? The natives of Wolverhampton and the surrounding area get a bit tetchy if you consider them to be Brummies! (Based on a couple of years working in the area). You should just about be able to understand the natives in Birmingham, but if you get into yam yam land it's a different language altogether!

Oi! Do you mind I am very proud of my Brummie accent although after fortyone years down south it may be wearing a bit thin now, and BTW I do not come from the West Midlands it is the County Borough of Birmingham at least that is what is says on my birth certificate.
