My first ebike was first made in 2009 or 2010 - I got it in 2011
As a result - in the UK it had to be based on the pre 2016 regulations - hence limited to 200W power - but it could have a throttle!
the actual power was rated at 180W!
the difference between that and the post 2016 regulations of 250W is VERY clear when I try to go up a steep hill!
however, it worked fine - and probably still does as I sold it to someone in Warrington!
