I was wondering how he was getting on after his hospital stuff. Also whether there was anybody local to him on here who knew him well enough to visit and pass on our best wishes.

He was due to go into hospital in early 2013, and so in a memorable thread he made lots of posts in advance of his absence.

Me, I was going to visit him today - not in hospital, he's not been yet - but in his town, about 25 miles away from mine.
Because of the weather I set out late on my ride, did not get as far as Dumbarton.
MDB is well and on FB a lot.
