Was in Atlanta with work, a semi regular trip and its not cycle friendly, loads of really knackered cars with sharp edges, drivers who arent that aware as most are busy doing something else as well as being on the phone, the roads arent geared up for it. The drivers do seem less aggressive and thrusty though.
I saw 4 people on bikes, all serious looking roadies in a whole week.
Its made me appreciate cycling in Cheshire !
