Need to replace some pads but they look smaller than the pads on my 700c bike. What pads do I need to buy, are they the ones for mini/low-pull V brakes, is that what kids bikes would use?
I have a Beinn getting ready and its V-brake pads are 54mm long, compared 'normal' MTB pads at 63mm or 70mm.
The width is different too: 10mm v 13mm, presumably to take into account a narrower braking surface.
The Beinn has 406 wheels (20") so curvature (cf the Cnoc 16) not as tight.
So the issue (for me) is not length of pad but width. The smaller radius of the Cnoc may mean longer pads just don't curve enough.
I have looked around (on t'web) without resolution.

The mini-V brakes are for adult road bikes and for 622 wheels (rims).
Yeah looking at those and comparing them to what I've just taken off, the spindles aren't long enough to get washers and a bolt on the other end. Have some arriving tomorrow anyway so hopefully they'll fit like the old ones did.
